Indian Origins
Our Madras curry is inspired by the curries cooked in the city of Madras, now called Chennai, in the state of Tamil Nadu in the South of India. This region is famous for rich and spicy curries, predominantly flavoured with black pepper and tamarind. The whole spices chosen to complement this dish are: Peppercorns, Mustard Seeds, Cloves, Curry Leaves and Dried Red Chilli

Preparation and Usage:

3 Simple Steps
1 Gently Fry the Whole Spices in Oil
2 Add the Patak's Spice Paste
3 Stir In the Base Sauce and Simmer

This product must be cooked.


Just add:
300g diced beef
1 tbsp vegetable oil
50ml water

Cooking Instructions
1 Gently fry the whole spices in 1 tbsp of vegetable oil for 20 seconds
2 Add the Patak's Spice Paste along with 50ml of water, and gently fry until the water is almost evaporated. Then add your chosen meat or vegetables and fry until the meat is sealed
3 Stir in the Base sauce and simmer for 15-30 minutes or until the meat is cooked through. If using Beef or Lamb, allow to simmer for 30 minutes until tender.
