- Store in a cool dry, place. Once opened, reseal using tab provided.
Spaghetti with tomatoe and basil sauce
Cooking time: 75 minutes
300g Tesco Spaghetti
450g fresh tomatoes, finely chopped
2 tbsps of extra virgin olive oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
15 basil leaves, finely chopped
80g Pecorino Cheese, grated
1.Place the chopped tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic and basil into a
large mixing bowl. Season with sea salt and black pepper and allow to stand for
at least an hour to allow the flavours to infuse.
2.Cook the pasta according to the pack instructions then drain, reserving some
of the cooking water.
3.Gently combine the drained pasta and Pecorino cheese into the tomato mixture,
adding some of the cooking water from the pasta if necessary.
4.Serve immediately. If desired, sprinkle with additional Pecorino cheese.
5. If you prefer to cook the tomato mixture, simply warm through before mixing
with a pasta.
